A group of secondary students from the Applied Learning Course in Tech Basics recently visited Green Space, the headquarters of Farmacy – a CLAP-TECH industry partner and green technology company specialising in data-driven, decentralised vertical farming solutions. During the visit, students toured the smart hydroponic farm and engaged in a discussion with Mr. Darrell Chan, Mechanical Mechatronic Engineer.
This visit provided students with valuable insights into how information technology and data science drive local startups. Using Farmacy as a case study, students learned how innovative technology can be integrated with sustainable development principles. They also discovered how cutting-edge technological advancements are revolutionising modern agriculture.
Through experiential learning, CLAP-TECH not only enhances students’ technical and soft skills but also supports their career and life development. This hands-on approach equips students with practical experience and insights.
