Students of the Multimedia Storytelling course visited Pacific Place in October to experience Orbstellar Metaspace art exhibition created by Hong Kong new media art team XCEPT. Credit to Pacific Place for preparing the immersive art experience – the interstellar of this midsummer is at fingertips, and no longer out of touch!
The exhibition combines art and innovative technologies, students can immerse themselves in exploring the magnificent scenery of the space. They are inspired to explore the imagination and sensory connections specially brought by visual technology. Seating in the spaceship commander chair at the Space Station and shuttle in the light and shadow, this visit brings students to an unnatural world beyond imagination and encourages them to reflect on the development of the future, technology and media arts.
