Countdown to DSE 2026 Results: CLAP-TECH Joins Nine Secondary School Principals to Inspire Students to
Explore Diverse Pathways to Limitless Potential

With the 2026 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination results releasing on 15 July, candidates are set to begin a fresh chapter. Stepping into an era shaped by the global AI wave, today’s students face a rapidly changing future where soft skills and adaptability are more crucial than ever. To help students map out diverse futures, the Jockey Club Multiple Pathways Initiative – CLAP-TECH Pathway (CLAP-TECH), led by Hong Kong Baptist University and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, has joined forces with nine partner secondary school principals to deliver a message of encouragement. By demonstrating that life is never confined to a single track, they inspire candidates to meet results day with courage, empowering them to transcend their marks, embrace infinite possibilities, and build their own pathways to success.

Andrew Ho, Director of CLAP-TECH Centre, HKBU

Public examination results are just  a footnote in the marathon of life. The future is a stage full of possibilities. The real key is aligning your personal talents with society’s development. We encourage students to understand their strengths and career development pathways so they can make wise and suitable choices for their future. If you have the courage to plan and the willingness to try, you can take the initiative and open up a  diverse pathway of your own.

Ms. Fung Shun Ning, Brenda, Principal of Buddhist Sum Heung Lam Memorial College

The DSE result is only one stage in life. Approach it with a positive mindset and focus on what comes next. Grades are for reference; they are not the finishing line. As long as you understand your ambitions and follow your interests when planning your path, you will gradually build your expertise and confidence while exploring different opportunities.

Ms. Tse Chun Yin, Principal of Delia Memorial School (Hip Wo)

Your life is yours to create. Exam results are only a small chapter in one’s life and they do not define your future. There is no single “right” path for anyone, but just the paths which suit you the best. Stay confident, follow your passions with courage and explore the fields that inspire you. May you write a life story filled with purpose and pride and make every step forward meaningful.

Mr. Kwok Wing Keung, Principal of Law Ting Pong Secondary School

Congratulations to all HKDSE candidates as you embark on the next chapter of your lives. In this rapidly changing era, may we stay true to our aspirations—pursuing our dreams with passion, seeking knowledge with curiosity, and enhancing our overall qualities—so that we may each find our own place and make meaningful contributions to the world.

Mr. Alex Kong, Principal of Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School

Life offers many different paths, and there is absolutely no need to limit your horizons by a single set of exams. Understand your own ambitions and stay open-minded as you plan for what lies ahead. By facing challenges with courage, this determination will become your very foundation for unlocking more possibilities as you march on.

Mr. William Wong, Principal of Man Kwan Pak Kau College

Life is full of twists and turns, but it is also filled with new opportunities. DSE results are merely a milestone, not the destination; true success comes from channelling your passion into momentum. In a fast-changing era, adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity matter far more than marks on an exam paper. So please relax, draw upon your school-built confidence, and showcase your strengths to carve out diverse pathways far beyond the limits of exam scores.

Mr. Kan Tak Ming, Principal of Jockey Club Man Kwan EduYoung College

Whatever your results may be, never lose faith in your own uniqueness. DSE exams mark the end of one stage of learning, but it is also the beginning of new dreams and opportunities. With courage and confidence, move forward proudly toward the future you aspire to create. Every student carries limitless potential, and your journey is only just beginning.

Mr. Li Kin Man, Principal of Salesians of Don Bosco Ng Siu Mui Secondary School

Grades are merely a marker of past learning, not a measure of future potential. Treat this experience as an opportunity for growth and use it as guidance while exploring different paths ahead. By staying open-minded and actively exploring opportunities across different fields, you will turn this experience into a foundation for realising your true potential.

Ms. Tam Chong Ling, Principal of Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College

True success lies in learning to make thoughtful choices that align with your own abilities. DSE results will never define your worth. Embrace diverse  possibilities, make the most of your strengths, and open the door to a future full of opportunities, shaping a path that is uniquely yours.

Mr. Wong Kin Ho, Principal of The Yuen Yuen Institute MFBM Nei Ming Chan Lui Chung Tak Memorial College

A public examination is just  one experience along your journey. There is no need to feel overwhelmed or unsettled by the results. Let go of any excessive anxiety about the future and focus on the choice you make right now. If you keep  nurturing your passions and interests, you can create a meaningful path for yourself and build a future full of possibility, wherever it may lead.
