Students from the Applied Learning Course in Multimedia Storytelling recently deepened their understanding of museum curation with an immersive visit to the Hong Kong Space Museum, guided by Ms. Polly Fong, Assistant Curator I (Space) Exhibit.
Highlights of the experience included a screening of “The Great Solar System Adventure! 3D” and a tour of “A Voyage to Space: China’s Manned Space Exhibition.” Ms. Fong engaged students in thoughtful dialogue about the curator’s vital role in designing exhibits and presenting complex space science topics in an accessible, engaging way.
The visit not only showcased the storytelling potential of multimedia in education but also provided valuable insights into the curator’s profession, inspiring students to explore career paths that bridge technology, creativity, and science. The encounter left students with fresh perspectives on the power of exhibition planning and public engagement.
