CLAP-TECH recently led a study tour to Singapore for secondary students from the Applied Learning Course in Tech Basics, offered by the School of Continuing Education at Hong Kong Baptist University. Held in mid-February, the programme combined company visits, themed workshops and city exploration to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
Students met Singapore innovation leaders including Hiverlab, Carousell and Weston Robot to learn about immersive technologies, the circular economy and robotics. At the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), they joined a workshop on Generative AI and the future of work, examining how AI is reshaping business operations and career pathways.
The itinerary also featured interactive exhibitions at Singapore Science Centre, an in-depth look at data-driven urban planning at the Singapore City Gallery, and immersive experiences at the ArtScience Museum.
The tour broadened students’ exposure to current technology trends and practical use cases across industry and urban systems, strengthening their readiness for future study and work.
